The business was started in 1984 by Dave Dalton and was known early on as Dave Dalton Combustion Service. Dave had already logged over 20 years working for a major combustion company in the boiler service division. When that company decided to close that division for various business reasons, Dave decided to continue his work mostly because many customers were calling his former company and asking for Dave’s help… they trusted Dave to solve their problems in an expedient and fair manner. So, it was a logical but bold decision for Dave to venture out on his own. In 1997, after 13 years and hundreds and hundreds of satisfied customers, the business was incorporated. Dave continued to grow and expand the business, becoming a sales rep for Sellers Engineering and Rite Engineering. More service technicians were added to the team as the business branched out into serving many industrial combustion markets (heat treat, coatings, forging, thermal fluid applications, etc.). To this day, Dalton Combustion Systems Inc. remains a family-owned operation.
